i might have to do that on the driver side of my car, was it hard to fit benji?
all i've done is cut it to fit, my mate is coming round to weld and fillit. i've leant to weld over the last few weeks, but not good enough to do body work yet. and i have no patience whatsoever when it comes to filler.
Might be a silly Q, but why you take the old ones off, were they rotten?
Was gonna do that to an SR i got for parts, well slightly widen it to fit 7x16's under them though.
Cas they rot. Mines had a new arch on the same side as Benji's.
Dont bother with the replacement panels... Its not worth it, just get the whole rear arch done. that will last for a good few years :D
Would it be difficult to widen or extend the inner Arch in the boot? or is it a case of cutting, pushing it in slightly in and welding in a piece to bridge the gap?

Nice pic of the 1/4 gone in.
During my previous Nova ownership, I often considered a rear arch repair panel, but was advised against many times. Didn't bother in the end.
For those who have replaced the 1/4 panel because of rust, what was the inner arch lip like when the outer arch came off? I'd be worried if I changed a 1/4 panel that the arch inner lip part that under it would be rusty/rotten, thus making the whole idea of changing the outer panel a bit pointless.
If that were the case, I assume you could patch the inner arch lip if required though, to ensure that the car had good metal on both sides of the lip?

are you going to extend the rear axle or just going to use dodgy spacers/offsets?
Its coming on a lot whatever!
it won't need anymore weld i folded a lip round on the outside and welded that up. although i might box it into make it neater
when i took the panel off the inner ach was rotten so it has been cut back, i'm still not sure what to do with it.

What he's saying is that because you've moved the Shock Top mounting point in the way, the lower mounting place isn't gonna be directly under it, thus at an angle. is this gonna cause difficulties suspension wise? Would all that work go through an MOT?
the bottom mounting point has been moved in aswell.
the sel panels are shite. i had some but sent the back. these are haridan panels. same price and 100x better
