Hi

i have just bought some new rear arches for my nova to replace the shoddy rusty ones

i was just wondering how you change them, what you need and how hard is it??

The hardest bit is filling and sanding without ripples.
Basically offer up the new arch panels and mark round them. Cut off old outer arch using grinder, airsaw. whilst the arch is off you could modify the inner arch to suit bigger wheels but thats up to you!
Offer up the new arch, double check it lines up nicely with the 1/4 panel.
Now get your welder out and stitch weld the new arch inch by inch to the 1/4 panel, double checking it all the time. try not to get the panels too hot or they will bow (this means more work later)
When all welded grind the welds flat. Then fill with fibreglass, sand flat and then get the filler out. Sand down to nice smooth LEVEL finish. This took me ages to get level.
