Is the corsa sri engine the same as the nova sri engine? And what can be done to tune these engines? And what have people had out of these engines?
Thanks Andy

benji's engine is a fine example.
108bhp i think and its for sale.
They did a 8V corsa sri and a 16v.
THe 8v is same as nova SRi.
The 16v is 92bhp.
as said
it depends wether it's an 8v or a 16v X14XE
pretty easy to tell the difference. the small block XE's have very restrictive inlets . 16XE can apparently benefit by approximatly 20bhp by swapping the restrictive standard inlet for a aftermarket item.
The 14XE is probably in a similar situation, but might not gain as much ?
Basically the 14Xe's are more expensive to aquire, and more expensive to mod.
the 8v (as nova Sri) is alot cheaper to obtain and modify
Look in the 1.4 SR's section for some idea's of modifications

Im talkin about the 8 valve engine that comes in the early corsa sri. And isnt Benji's engine a carb version and the engine im on about is injection.
Thanks Andy
yes the SRi is a EFi engine which is fuel injection.
Benji's is a 1.4 SR orinigally with a SRi head and T40's
The SRi makes 82bhp as standard which isn't too bad. It's easily tuneable and when the injection is swapped for carbs, then they can make pretty good power.
benji's makes 108bhp as stated above, which is rather impressive
