ok today i brought a calibra turbo for my engine conversion on me nova but when you boot it when it get to about 4-5 rpm it splutters and kangeroo's and if you do it in first gear it back fires ive checked for air leaks etc and the engine light is not on does anyone know what to check for

have a PROPER read of that. you will learn more than your likely to need to know about the LET.

it probably needs the ignition sorting ie HT leads, plugs etc. just to begin with.

My let nova was doing the same recently

check for fuel leaks as it will lead to a drop in pressure

check the fuel pump and relay and a change of filter wont do any harm

would cheap shit leads be to fault i found the lead from the coil to dizzy was fucked and its loads better new plugs and leads are in order i think
