INNER WING ROTTEN WHAT SHOULD I DO???? PLEASE HELP

hi all

im now in the middle of build a valver and just realized the drivers side inner wing is rotten for the first inch nearest the wing about 8 inches long would it be ok to plate it ? or a whole new inner wing which from what i can tell is a big expensive job. i was going to just plate it but dint know if would be strong enough for the valver and if it would pass an mot or not. Can sombody whos had this problem or knows a bit more about mots than me help me out and tell me what todo

buy a new inner wing and replace it

it's not a hard job if the engine bay is empty and the car is stripped a little.

plating it wont get rid of the rott. once a peice of metal is rotten, then you'l be very lucky to completely irradicate the problem.

cut out the rotted piece aswell as about an inch extra an weld in a new piece get haynes body repair manual 4 more info

they arnt for strength anyway, you can completely chop them away if you want? saves weight! plus its not an mot failier.
