At the moment it should be pushing out around 160bhp as its not been mapped properly yet, once mapped will be more then mine 170-180bhp(not for long)

Quite funny though, when we wer out in this affternoon this goon in a four door mk5 escort was laughing at us,i said go mike give it a rev,nah he said sod him,i said nah go on,he did and it swirld up and dumpt then made a huge backfire and "BANG" should of seen his face  felt sorry for the small kid that cryed his eyes out though as it shat him up :?

Just need to get the front bumper sorted before PV next week.

For engine spec etc look here at Neils old car.

http://www.novaload.net/features/viewfeature.php?ref=769

It has most of that part from old head that was cracked(internals etc),and the aquamist, and has standard mounts and clutch diff for now.

On mikes behalth thanks for neil to take time to sort out a lot of parts and time to sort the conversion.

well i'd say it's bound to be a little more unreliable than it would be if it were a 1.6 N/A 8v.

Look forwards to seeing your car done scott, it's about time it needed something new

We belive so mate,my mate is the third owner,he has the addvert of his car in auto trader for 96 when it had 45k on it and was up for sale at ?5200  the guy before him owned it in Banbary and he stated to mod it slightly with cav GSi wheels and induction kit scorpion system, then mike got it and slowly modid it to this..

But yes affter all that we belive that lad had the strut brace custom made as its not ever been seen before. :D

has any one on here had a turbo conversion done by courtenay before or do you all just do the conversion yourselfs?

would it be worth the money to get courtenay to do it, what ya recon?

Scott... if your after a manifold for your XE, let me know!!

I bought a 2nd SBD Type C High Torque manifold in mild steel which i never used, it was used as the template to make one out of Stainless at a fraction of the SBD price... JP Exhausts in Macclesfield did it for me

Dave Broomfield is having a stainless one made up as we speak, ready for his TB's...

The SBD Type C is 1"7/8 to ideally suit a 21/2 system... the one i had made up (they now have a template/jig for making more manifolds) was 1"3/4 to suit a 21/4 system. When Steve Broughton mapped my car up he was well impressed with the manifold JP had done...

Prices may have changed...

1"7/8 in mild steel = ?260 s/s = ?360

1"3/4 in mild steel = ?250 s/s = ?350

As i know them at JP if you want one doing i can have a word for you...

Cheers
