View Full Version : where to get tool 2 remove digi dash screws
were can i buy a tool 2 remove the star shaped screws from back of digi dash they av 3 slots but dont meet up in middle phoned vauxhal but they dont sell the tool

All i used was a hacksaw or dremmel to cut a slot then unscrew with a normal flathead screwdriver.

You can get torx bits and screwdrivers from anywhere!
get a "security tool" set from maplins etc they should have all the bits needed to open most stuff.
there not torx inagine a normal flat head but it only has 3 slots an they dont meet in middle
got set from maplins it dont av it has a bit with 2 little prongs guess i need 1 like that but with 3 its hard 2 use grips hak saw etc when they r close 2 printed cicuit board
they were torx on mine...
, if not, try modiying the head to fit another screw driver in, like martin said.
i think that vaux don't sell a special tool to stop people from clocking dashes
thanks lads done used grinder + hacksaw its now red.just av prob wi wiring now (see above)
