Hi guys

My renewal for my SR will be due sometime late spet early october, so you can see i've had my policy around 7 months now. Anyway got bored the other night so keyed my details into Norwhich Union (who im with)... only to find out that if i had waited 7 months i could have saved about 200 quid!

I pay 900 at the minute and quotes were coming out at around 650-700, does this mean that it should come down when the renewal comes?

Yes because a) you'll be a year older from your original policy start date and b) you'll have an extra years NCB.

Of course between now and then you could rack up some points, make a claim, etc.

lol, both HIC and Flux quoted me around ?1200 FC for my GT-Four, and told me that'd be the cheapest I'd be looking at, "most companies will charge you a grand and a half"

Admiral, fully comp business class 1 use with protected NCB and unlimited mileage, ?722

half of it depends on whether you get an arsehole or someone decent on the phone

a friend of mine worked for Direct line, and she said that She was allowed to use her discretion when qouting i.e it could be more epensive or less expensive than the next person.

She also had a nice fat ?600 bonus that she could knock off someones insurance. But then that was Her bonus.

....She also had a nice fat ?600 bonus .....

If thas nice and fat, what do you class the 4k bonus i got last year as?

saying that bonus times coming around again!! :D lookin on the higher side of 5 if all goes according to plan!

Nick

I don't really know the ins and outs of it, but if i ran up and took a policy she could decide to give me a cut of ?600 if she really wanted. However this "bonus" was given to her in cash at the end of the month if she didn't use it on insurance policies.

I'm not sure wether this was a one off, or a monthly thing ?

I emailed flux thinking you know, specialist insurer, might be a decent price. However i was told over 1600 quid!!! I mean id rather go with someone like them but not at that price lol
