View Full Version : 2 Litre 16v Insurance
Just got insured on my 2 litre 16v from Adrian Flux. ?671 tpft all mods declared with 3 extra drivers, 23 yrs old, 0 ncb. Thought that was a really good price, nearest competitor was HIC offering ?1650 tpft.

That's a very good price...I would have been very impressed with that! I thought I was doing well when they even considered insuring me....pays to shop around for cover

My best quote was ?1,184 Fully Comp for a Vauxhall Cavalier Turbo 4x4. 21 years old 1 ncb, no convictions, speeding tickets, etc.

yeah, I bet it is... but the car I got now is a Toyota Starlet GT Turbo with quite a few mods done to her. She's cranking out 300hp and the reason I am getting rid of her is I have had enough of FWD.
^ I recommend an ST205 then

Jack would say that coz they are cracking cars. Would love one but are rare and expensive.
No they're not
Ok, UK ones are relatively hard to find but not exactly rare (try finding a UK spec good condition unclocked Mitsi 3000GT lol)... Expect to pay around ?5,500-6,500 for an ST205 - thats a lot of car for not much cash. They're also very cheap insurance compared to similar cars (including ones of a lesser insurance group), as well as the JDM version being cheap too - imports are usualy astronomical insurance compared to their UK counterparts, but not so much with the GT-Fours.
