6-8mm MDF or hardboard (one side is shiny the other is matt) you can add battons to the back of it to add strength if you so desire

Does anyone know what material to use for making a door card.....if MDF, what thickness etc?

anything would do i suppose - as long as its strong - not too heavy and a few mm think.

has anyone out there actually done any custome doors....advice please....6-8mm sounds good though!

when doing it 1st make it up out of thick cardboard it may seem boring but u want a good job dont ya and u will have the templates. what speakers are u thinking of putting on each door ? and how many?

p.s dont rush it

I'll probably put some 6.5's in...they'll be ok will they?.....BTW I've got a pack of spare door cards, so I'll use them for templates.
