wheel spacers

just finished buidling my wide arched nova and am now in need of some wheel spacers, i have measured that it would take a max of a 30mm wheel spacer with my 17s but i would like 20mm, does anybody no the best place to get these and how much they roughly are? unless anybody has any they wana sell me?

do not even attempt to run 20 or 30mm wheel spacers

its bloody dangerous! not to mention the handling issues u will have

the rear beam is easy, u need to space out the stub axles by the appropriate amount (im sure TAS do the required spacers and longer bolts)

the front requires longer bottom arms and tie rods and is not cheap to do

corsa beam mounting points are further apart arent they?

the proper wide track rally kits used stub axle spacers on the rear and a fully adjustable kit on the front

that means the extra loading is on the stub axle bolts and not the wheel bearing

perfectly safe way of doing it if the correct specced bolts are used

hmmm i thought they were the same :? . i beleave you can use astra bottom arms aswell cant you to widen the track aslong as you use the astra drive shafts aswell. some combination like that anyway

astra has wishbones nova doesnt

u may be able to use corsa bottom arms and tie rods and driveshafts to bring the track out

someone into motorsport should be able to keep u right

TAS? can you give me a number or site for thes as the front doesnt look too bad but the back looks terrible!

i do belive TAS are no more, but thats yet to be confirmed.

well the rear is the easier of the 2 anyway so if TAS are no more then it shouldnt be too hard to get spacers made up

if u unbolt the rear drum assembly from the stub axle you'll see a spacer plate on there, u need to get a copy of that made but with the extra width required, then place the spacer between the brake assembly and the stub axle and refit everything (with 30mm longer bolts obviously)

if u dont want to take your car apart goto a scrappys and cut the spacer plate off a nova beam and take it to an engineering shop

get them to copy it in the required thickness and bobs your auntie, a safe wide track kit

aragorn it seems you were right about the mounting point for the rear axle, i measured a corsa at work then measured my nova and the corsa mounting points are 50mm wider :cry:

protec do a widetrack kit, and harry hockely probably do one aswell. but don't expect change from a grand
