I got an email yesterday saying my ebay account was going to be suspended if i didn't resolve the 'problems' on my account. It had a link to click on to 'resolve' these problems and required my ebay username and password AND my email username and password!! How feckin stupid do they think people are?!

Anyway ebay have told me it is a spoof and they're investigating it and to be carefull!! Tbh, if you've got an ounce of common sense then you won't get done by these nob head scammers. I'd kick the living sh!te out of these twocers if i ever met them

YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!

If in doubt, always go to the site in question independently (i.e. open a browser window and login to the site in question, in this case ebay.co.uk), and make any necessary changes from there. Never follow a link in an email unless you are 100% certain of its authenticity, and never enter username/passwords or any personal information from following these links.

I think ebay has a reporting process for these scams, its in the help section somewhere....

Razor, your NL account is having problems. Email me your password and send me your credit card details and all will be resolved.

You forgot to ask for my mother's maiden name, place of birth, favourite pets name and what I had for breakfast this morning... then I would be convinced

I sent it to their scam dept. I'm amazed at how 'real' they can make these spoof emails look-they must put a lot of effort into them. Why dont they just get a fcuking job or rob a newsagents or something?! So much easier

Username: STOP TRYING TO HACK U F'IN PRI**
Password: YOU BUNCH OF WAN*ERS!

lol, and it just reloads the ebay page once submitted :)

If you download the ebay toolbar then there is a little box on it which turns red when you are on a page that is official to ebay or associated partners (paypal) or goes grey when on a non-ebay page. Quite handy
