Pipe behind rear arch?

Im just sorting out my passenger side rear arch to have an new arch welded in and found that theres some plastic type piping runing behind it. Is this of any importance as im about to take an angle grinder to the arch, so should i be careful around it?

it's the wiring for rear lights etc...
