i thought only one max power sticker was needed for speeds like that
surely two stickers would be MADNESS!!

Moooo...

150 maybe, certainly no where near 185 tho. Evo 8's i very much doubt, imagine the loss of traction.

I got my evo to 170mph on the speedo and had a tiny little bit more to go, this pic is at 160mph though....

better than you would think mate. itll be much better than at 7k rpm in 1st on full throttle.

think about it. you have your foot in the same place on the throttle as you would have in 1st and you are doing the same rpm. but instead of doing 30mph you are doing 160. traveling more distance for the ammount of fuel you are using. much better MPG :D

sorry for the technical bit lol. now to slate the apparent 300kg nova. lol

so what part of this car is a nova then. because with the engine and two axles you are approaching your target 300kgs. so what shell brakes seats and basically the rest of the car does it have that weighs about 50kgs lol.

When I saw the 185mph my first thoughts were it's a "Chevy Nova" and he's found the site by accident, however reading on I see he mentions a 2.0 16v etc. Also, I'm glad someone else picked up on the 300kg bit.

Sigh, time for this post to be deleted?

my pm lol

why do people find it hard to beleive about speed the car has had 26 grand thrown at it although this is not what it cost me this is what it would cost somneone through a garage or am i confused and this is a site for boy racers with no money how ever i have looked at your profile and posted message and you are the most sensible person on also i have included the profile at hte top for you

this car is a 2.0 16valve bored ported polished high lift cams back drop on valves chipped and carbbed in a car that weighs about 300kg
trust me it puts evo 8 down

its been chipped and carb'd WOW

Jack

ok even i dont bulshit that much omg if only he dint get rid of all of it i would have read it n laughed i no for a facked that a nova could never go like 180 or wateva it was if it weighs 300kg he would b flying unless its held together but the little bits of paint chips amuncts loads of rust all i can say is wat a twat :!:

lolololol packing a Lotus carlton.

I doubt that lump would fit very easily in the back of a nova lol

reminds me of the guy who claimed he had a calibra running a bently 3.5 V8.... however he decided to shut it after i told him the only 3.5V8 they did was in a 1936 lemans car

cant believe ive missed this post. Clearly, the reason for my car being so slow is the fact that i havent had it chipped. Im just going to whip my carbs off an take them down halifords, they will be able to chip them respect.

lmao this guy is just the best..

Well on private roads ive seen some fast speeds in mine, keeping in mind its probably around 10mph out on the dial also..

So though this reads around what would be 140mph its more like 128mph but when your mate is trying to take pics at this speed you see the efect it has on the pic quality

http://img167.echo.cx/img167/9500/140mphspeedoedit0ma.jpg (http://www.imageshack.us)

I have seen the needel go to the point what i call "too fast"

(speeding is not cleaver and should be done on private roads and in a safe manner fully supervised)
