F10/F13 gearboxes

Does anyone know if F10 gear sets and shafts fit into a F13 casings? What's the difference between F10 and F13?

yes the f10 gears and shafts will fit the F13 casings and vice versa. I know this because i had a 4.18 diff and pinion and a 5 speed gear cluster into my F10 casing. I think the only difference between the f10 and f13 boxes is slightly different (longer?) gearing of the f13 not 100% sure though

the gearing is down the the clusters and final drive

the F13 casing is larger to accommodate the larger 1600 flywheel

thats the only difference

I've heard that it is possible to fit an F10 to the SRi or GTE/GSI lump, there is a certain bit of casting which can be shaved.

Thats what i thought aragorn. cool. i found a F10 in the garage i can use to rebuild my box. Thanks chaps
