After chatting to a few ppl im prity sure its the head gasket thats away.. Done a compression test on each cylinder earlyer, they were 125--85--175--175 (all lb/in) Theres an oil mix comming out of the rocker cover breather and the dip stick.. i was also thinking it mite be a broken ring with the big dip in number 2.....

im gonna change headgasket and hope it cures her

Cormac.. it needs a leakdown to confirm...

bring me the head and i'll face it for you,,, theese engines dont like heat.

remember your thermostat housing...

Im on the lookout for an 20seh head for my t40's and cam, wen i get one i will leave it down with you for sum work... maybe you have one alying about u??

they are nothing special as far as heads go..

they flow 90cfm std and around 101cfm when modded. which isnt great considering the valve size and valve curtain area.

they have 2 parts in the head that cannot be removed which impare flow but a 10cfm gain is easy to find and its not anywhere where most people port!

so that head isnt the best,, prob is ive bought a cam to suit it, not sure if the cam will fit onto my current head... is the flow much metter on the Mk1 astra GTE head??
