i have a 1.6 gsi engine in, and when sittin running it revs without a problem but whenever try to pull away there is no power and it cuts out. Any1 know what problem could be? i have a 1.2i fuel tank in it could that be a problem.

tried quite few different things and cant get it any better.

if cant get it sorted was thinking bout putting a 1.8 cav carb on, how would i go bout fitting that carb if can?

Any1 got any ideas?

u need an MPI fuel pump in your tank

get one from an astra mpi and it should fit almost streight in with minimal fuss

wether thats the problem im unsure but if u aint getting enough fuel its not going to run right

and 1.8carb wont fit at all and a 1.6 carb wont match up with the ports on the cylinder head

both are also a backwards step, fix the EFI system as its far better

havent changed the fuel pump, its just the one thats in the tank of the 1.2i. Does it sound as if a fuel problem with it running ok when sitting but not when try drive it.

mate, you will need the MPI pump for it to work :D

you need mpi bomb or an external bomb but i think the mpi bomb is cheaper
