sorry to mods if this is in the wrong place

We wanted to offer Novaload the chance showcase your cars by taking a FREE club stand @ GT battle - a new show @ Rockingham on the 25th of june

Im also looking for some rapid Novas to enter the Time Attack on track - im sure some of the 2.0 16v and Turbo jobbies out there would be very rapid on track and would give the Civic Type Rs a real fright :twisted:

UK TIME ATTACK will bring together 70 of the fastest road-legal modified cars on the planet. Each will compete against the clock on a section of Rockingham's infield 'street' circuit. Huge cash prizes, superb trophies and title of UK Time Attack Champion will be awarded after the 15 car final shootout.

UK DRIFT BATTLE will be held simultaneously on a different section of track and will feature 60 of the UK's best drift cars and drivers. After initial qualifying, the finalists will compete in two-car battles for the title of UK Drift Battle Champion. As with the TIME ATTACK, fantastic cash prizes and trophies will be presented to the winning cars and drivers.

Time Attack and Drift Battle competitors will all have to apply for places in advance, but for anyone who wants to compete on the day, the pit straight will become a drag strip for the day for the 0-60 TRAFFIC LIGHT GRAND PRIX. In true GT BATTLE style, prizes and trophies will be up for grabs.

SPECTATORS will have the choice of grandstands, infield or the pit garage roof, allowing first class views of all the action. If nine hours of high excitement sounds too much to handle, you can always take a more sedate look around the competitor/trade paddocks, show 'n' shine competition and club car displays.

CONFIRMED COMPETITORS include -
- Triple TOTB winner 'Rocket' Ronnie and his 200mph+ Skyline.
- Sumo Power will have their new EVO 8 track car, plus their new 350z drift weapon.
- RC Developments and their 900bhp Evo.
- Simon Norris (builder of world's fastest Evo) and his brand new car.
- And Redline magazine's 606bhp Sierra Cosworth.

THE BOTTOM LINE is that GT BATTLE will be a spectacle never seen before and the 25th June should be a date in every true petrol-head's diary.

being as i held up to an evo an skyline round castle combe in the wet i'd say its more than possible ( they did get past though :D ). But yes some of the cars there will be stupidly fast.

however, the other cars were timed on the same arena so i would presume the same equipment (i.e similarly inaccurate/accurate as the case is) and therefore, IMO the time would still stand in as much as this car was the quicker.

i beg to differ :wink:

a 600hp GTR may be rapid @ the pod :twisted: however a well set up Nova with 2L 16v and throttle bodies would be able to put down an equally impressive time on track 8)

remember many of the big boooosting jap car are quite heavy and a nova can put more of its power down more of the time whilst on track :D

most 11 sec cars suffer from lag then come on boooost very violently which can be a handful on track :roll:

anyway most Nova would be in FWD class and therefore be up against

Civic Type Rs
205 pugs
Crx's etc

surely you guys are up for some civic spanking :wink:

As for novas being quick on track i agree some can be.
But if anyone has seen the dvd version of getaway in stockholm 5 then just watch that porsche driver at the end. What awesome peice of driving that was at nurburg. No nova was ever gonna catch that. infact there wouldnt have been much that would lol!!

I will be going to this with lancer-evo.net, seems like there is going to be some very intresting cars there.

IMO the most sorted nova that would be up there with them (as well as a nova can be up there againt jap cars :wink: ) is Martin Kelsons nova. It really is a good as they come and would walk over most turbo novas around a track, he knows how to drive it aswell :wink: Martin, if you read this go on you know you want to.

If not the only other nova (driver) i can think of is Mark Beason and his turbo. He is an absolute nutter and can be found on the bumper of many porsche's and ferrari :lol:

Is the competition open to single cars or is it just websites tuning companys? I know a few people that would be up for it.

Lol at your mate driving, yes he was pretty damn quick and very smooth. You 2 where driving how you should round curborough unlike me with my handbrake on most of the way round :lol:

Seriously mate why dont you give it a go? As far as i can make out you will be on track on your own against the clock and will be against other fwd. Beastie will be there on track, and i am sure there will be a fair amount of us there for support.

If you dont want to take it round i am free on the day :wink:

Will be going but dont think car is anywhere near good enough to compete in something like that. My major downfall would be with the straight cut box i'am flat out at about 115-120mph not good with that long straight and banked corner before the infield.
Looks like being a really good day though.

having had a look @ your car i feel it is one of the most "complete" TBd Nova ive seen :twisted: and be chuffed if you considered entering :D
