change engine oil and filter every 3000-5000 miles. The lesser figure the better.
?10-15 a time.

it to hard to say as it might need

gaskets,
plugs,
leads,
filters,

the list goes on and on

i can not just give you a std price well i can about ?80 labour + parts (which could add up to anything)

or just do it yourself

Well i did a few service things to mine:-
oil-?9 vaux 10/40 semi synth
oil filter-?3
Air filter-?4
Dizzy cap-?6 IIRC
Rotor Arm-?2.50

And then i couldn't be bothered do anything else.
As baxter said you could also do fuel filter, HT leads and spark plugs etc.

I would say about ?50 could do you almost everything on a service if you do it yourself.

But you also got to remember cambelt if it ain't been done for ages.

Well ste does do a fair bit of towing it seems so it's probably wise to change the belt every year, if the engines under a lot of stress so's the belt.

Cam belts arent very expensive at all. Better to change it then it snap.
As for oil & filter changing I usually do mine between 3k-3.5k. Servicing an astra mk3 is gonna take you about an hour! Its easy mate
