my mate has one in a sealed box and its fine! i thought the only difference was sealed gives more punch and ported alows it to go lower "please delite my post from your memory if it turns out to be nonsense"

I HAD JBL 4 INCH IN THE FRONT AND 6X9S IN THE BACK WITH A 12 INCH SUB AND IT WAS GOOD BUT THE 6X9S WERE HEAVY SO I SACKED THEM OFF AND PUT THE 4 INCH IN THE STANDARD BACK HOLES AND PUT 5 1/2 INCH IN THE FRONT DOORS! MY HEAD UNIT HAS A SUB CONTROL ON IT SO I CAN HAVE THE BASS DOWN LOW ON THE SPEAKERS AND HIGH ON THE SUB AND IT LETS ME KEEP THE GAIN ON THE AMP ABOUT HALF WAY
