OK, I'm a total novice when it comes to ICE so bare with me here...
Have a Kenwood head and 6 disc changer with a set of Poineer 6x9's in parcel shelf (soon to be changed to MDF one though) and will soon be buying a set of 1/2 decent front speakers to be mounted in pods. Wot I need to know is do I need to also get an AMP? I'm not planning to get a sub or any other loud accessories, just want something that sounds ok (car will be sound proofed shortly). I don't wanna overload my stereo. So...do I need an AMP, if so which one (something basic that will do job is all I need). Will it make a difference (apart from making speakers louder). I know an AMP will make my stereo work less hard.
Like I say, I know f all aboot ICE although do know a little electronics.

Cheers

Ade

aslong as the head unit is 4X35-40 + then you dont neseserraly need an amp, but you can get one it you want to. i'd suggest a good 4x50-100W amp, kenny or alpine
