Yeah Phil that was later on in the day once it had dried out. I have also recieved more outside footage from the day and im sure I have 1 shot of your car.

If you have broadband PM me your email address and I will find the clip and send it on. It shouldn't be that big a clip so even if you have a 56k modem im sure it will handle it.

Long Live The Nova - Nah it won't be your dads old car. We know the history for the car from new, and all the people who owned it. Its just a flat blue colour.

Snowface - Yup that girl was in it when this photo was taken :D

This photo is still making me grin. The car was actually getting about as much air as that. But this was the only photo we managed to get. I do have it on video. So I will see if I can get a better shot

Not sure on the full spec. It was built as a Group N Rally car. But we have had the restrictor machined out.

Its still a RS Turbo engine. However its all be changed and hacked about. For example it has an intercooler off of a lancia and various bits and bobs taken off of other cars. I know there are Pulsar GTI-R bits on it somewhere. It also runs water injection. As far as I know the engine is quite stressed. We had it on the rollers but couldn't stop the front wheels spinning when the turbo kicked in. Its estimated around 230bhp though.

All break and fuel lines are inside the car. The front breaks are 330mm with brembo 4 pot calipers running kevlar pads (I think).

The cage is also cool. Its now a part of the car and ties in to the engine bay and also goes across the engine bay to act as a strut brace. Its tagged in to all the pillars etc. The floor has been raised on the drivers side, so that it can run a side exit exhaust (Which we have). Its too loud for most circuits though. I think it was around 108bd.

It must be a good car though because my dad hasn't killed it yet. Hes had it around 5 years now. All his other cars only lasted about 18 months at the most before he stuffed them in to the armco.

Dar, so it's not easy for an RS turbo to have 270bhp ?

local guy is claiming his is on 270..

ok so thru some turbo tweaking and an EFI upgrade i take it it's ballswhen you say efi tweaking does that mean cossie management?? and also the turbos do only need abit of modifyin to see this power however you are gonna struggle to get up there with out head work and a low comp bottom end

We've been passed by an RS Turbo running 260bhp - So I wouldn't dis-believe someone claiming 270bhp. Its how much boost you want to shove in there etc. I may be wrong with my bhp est because the engine has been rebuilt since with a brand new turbo and the water injection was added. He then turned the boost up. But I never like to over estimate.

He can adjust the boost from inside the car as well. So if its wet he turns it down etc. Therefore the bhp of the engine changes.

Nah me neither. I've driven it and you just hang on for dear life when the turbo kicks in. Its fun and feels great but I prefer my Nova. Its easier to drive.
