i BELIEVE you can have them painted n laquered as normal car paint,

been done on a few cars i no and lasts perfect,

but personally ud find powder coating better but i suppose it depends on colours and finishes u want ..

im sure wheels like anthrecite speedlines are painted .......

all wheels are sprayed with car paint, apart from something like chrome or polished alloy. When spraying them just treat them like any other metal or panel you spray.

What is the process for re-furbing wheels ie what do you use to fill the curb marks.

I have a set of Fox alloys that would look class on my nova but are marked a bit, I know i would need to paint them, but they are going on my nova which is going to be a track car, so if i paint them white, they will look proper motorsport.

if theyre badly curbed you may need to get them professionally refinished
for slight scratches you can use normal body filler. The problem is that anything too deep filler wise will eventually crack and come loose due to the centrifugal forces placed on it through the wheel spinning.

For the best results get the tyre removed so you can spray round the lip - that way you'll guarantee a secure seal so paint wont flake.
