cant havew ice and run the car

whenever i put in my headunit it seems to make my car die i cant get the engine to run at all at times then the 3rd cylinder stops working and the whole things goes awol then im stranded :( any 1 got any ideas

stick in a separate battery for the head unit!!! lol

alternator fooked possibly, or maybe the battery or you have wired it in wrong some how
