The sun came out earlier, perfect opertunity for some quality Pics :)

The Roll cage is in my loft. I'm waiting till i buy some seats, harness's, rear strut brace etc and re-do the interior. Tho the interior in it is fookin comfy and i love it. So still a little undecided!

They were but the Nova ones were horrific bulky boxey ugly things! The ones like myself and Keith (now) has are Astra MK3 GSi ones, straight fit and suit the Nova shape perfectly imo.

hmm they do look really good

how do you plumb then in then :?:

Jules
02-05-05, 12:27 AM
Sshhhhh............you don't - they're just for looks...

You can plumb them in by getting the OE Nova headlight washer bottle, pump and wiring - Vauxhall might still be able to order them - they're on EPC..........

Very, Very nice mate - can't think where i've seen those mirrors & headlight washers before but damit, they look mint!!!

For anyone reading this - Keith deserves a masssive amount of respect for getting this car roadworthy for the Nurburgring trip, the amount of bad luck he has had is unbelievable, considering the care that has gone into rebuilding the car!!

WELL DONE MATE!! I look forward to the trip!!!

I moved my fuel pump back down to the tank, as it wasnt fueling right. Now its much better, but i have two holes in the bay :( But i'll get them sorted when i return from the ring ;)

Oh, went to a superb location and took 430 pics of the car, on two cameras. Expect a thread soon ;) They came out stunning!!

430 pics! Didnt think you could physically take that many pictures of a nova

Had to do the same with my pump keith, they just dont work in the engine bay. Mounted mine just below the tank on the verticle face of the floor pan, works a treat now and not had any problems with it.

Will get that part of the bay re-painted when i refit the 1300, and get a bailey oil catch tank :)

Oh. And someones offered me a good XE for the spare engine, clean swap. Think i might just take him up on that, and tuck it under the bench in the garage for the future.

glad you are ready to go keith, be careful on the caroussel, you might whack your exhaust, if you do go on it enter at the top as if you go on too early it fires you straight out towards the wall

Have a safe trip

Hey Olly, hope you are keeping well!

The mirrors are mounted on alloy plates which i had made, and i coated them in carbon fiber. I lined them up and drilled into the door, and used long nuts and bolts to hold them on. Simple enough really!

hi keith

yeh im fine mate, im just finishing final year of uni so not touched the nova for a while + i sold the calibra and bought a mint polo g40 whch has kept me entertained for a while

I have had my brand new 400 mirrors sat around for a while and havent got round to trial fitting them, but i have made some carbon base plates up, i just didnt want to drill the doors if i could get away with it.

Your car is looking fantastic though mate, cant wait to get cracking on mine again, should hopefully be building a few cars this year, got a mates chevette with a rover v8 lump to get stuck into + an opel ascona if i can convince my mate to buy it :) cant wait to finish uni and start building cars, going to shows and drinking beer again lol
