just a quick question do u actually need a conversion kit for a xe conversion?
its just there a bit pricey

A guy on valvers.com does the lowering brackets for engine mounting for about ?50 i think.

Then all you need is some GTE 22-spline shafts and mk2 Cav 1.6 inner CV joints from scrappy (?50)
and a hammer to bash in the engine bay by the alternator a bit.

So thats ?100 in total.

Some of these ?500 conversion kits are bollox and the shafts are normally not even as strong as GTE ones.

although i would recomend the solid engine mounts ?150 and have the bay welded up or it will just rip it apart
