I'm looking at getting these (http://caraudiosecurity.com/catalog/product_info.php+cPath+60_66_104+products_id+26) 17cm speakers. Would there be space to fit them in my door trim? How easy would this be?
If not easily done, where else could those, or a similar sized, speakers be placed?

Thanks for any input :D

Edit: It's a MK2 if it makes a difference. Currently has window winders but planning of getting electric windows...

Cheers Cassie-Nova :D I saw that thread but didn't know what size speakers they were. :?

Somebody mentioned today that they didn't think the depth of the door was deep enough to house a 17cm speaker. epo did you find that a problem at all?

Off to the scrappes this weekend probably to look for electric windows so hopefully they should not pose any problem :D

So the speakers won't fit in without spacers? Hmm okay.

On a similar topic.... Where else can that size speaker be placed? Only places I can think of are the front doors and parcel shelf.

Cheers for the help guys :D

I think the ones i have are 5"s. Didn't need any spacers, depends on deep the magnet is i suppose, pop your door panel off and have a look! Could also mount a set in your rear quarters. Maybe make an MDF rear quarter panel and mount some 6x9s? Still considering on whether or not to do that!

yer iv got rear 1/4 panles with my 6x9's in its well good but the magnet gets stuck on the metal behind it, so iv got to make some more at a different angle etc.
