Right what chokes sizes for twin 45s on a 2lt 16v. All else that has ben done to it is a set of mild cams and a lightened flywheel. Its down on power from what it should be, i think im running 36mm chokes at the moment but not to sure to be honest. Just wondered what everyone else was using. Also i was told that going for 48s would give better results by the rolling road.

I had 48's and it didn't do me any harm, I'm sure that the 36 chokes are the standard size, not sure but I think the biggest ones you can get for 45's are about 40 or 41.

i was told 36mm were the best ones to use for every day use, otherwise it'll drink even more into your student loan.

36s.

I only use 48s on engines producing more than 235bhp.

remember 48s are actually a sleeved down 50 unless you have a really old pair from 1960s.

in fact the opel lotus spec for single seaters used 40s with a 34mm choke.
