1/4 mile times

Does anyone know the standard 1/4 mile time for a gsi?
and what have people got in the 2.0 16v's?

I have seen standard GTE/GSi's run anywhere from 16 flat upto 17secs. Depends on the interior status really, most I have seen have been around mid-16's

My PB was 14.4 in the old valver, not had chance to run this one yet

my quickest so far is a 14.3 in a 2lt

only ran once in mine and i got 15.2 in the rain.

My GSI did a 16.1 with a fast road cam and my 16v did 14.4 standard

my SRi did it in 16.8
and the chips 2.0 16v did it in 13.3 (albeit with 100 shot of nos :lol: )

my 1.6 16v did 16.4 with shit tyres and shite gearbox (2.9sec 60ft) i'd expect something closer to 15.9-16.0 with decent gearing and tyres which actually grip to the road rather than just kinda sliding along it

the day i ran my 16.4 i did one run against a std GTE which ran about 16.6ish

and my bro's 1.2i 8v did an 18.8 :)

Did he drive that home? It didnt sound too good on it's last few runs.

im sure it had a slipping clutch as the very least, dont think he damaged the engine but it mightve been down to 3 cyls due to ignition problems iirc

the head gasket was on its way out, clutch was iffy but he was running semi slicks, a atb and more than 100bhp of N20 it was nearer 150ish i belive.

yeah clutch was acctually slippin on the 13.3 :o

with out that a late 12 would have been in reach.

car got sold on n did the rounds recently, engine was fine afaik.

13.8 2l 16v on carbs.

But how the current novas gonna go is anyones guess.
