Im pulling my hair out here guys!
Just changed my dash for a black MK2 effort! While i was in the process i tidied up all the wiring! Removed wires not needed eg leccy widows, central locking, both were wired into the alarm which is a clifford concept 500!

Now the c ar wonts start or the dash doesnt illuminate(digi) However the hazards and the lights work!the solenoids on the boot and door work(but not on the alarm fob) and im getting power to the ignition cylider! Wipers dont work, indicators dont work from stalk(although do on hazard switch and dash tell tale flashes)!!!

All fuses are present and in working order! And all relays!

Help me please! Im going insane!

Need to be up and running by PV!!

And to top it all i smashed up my newly painted VW style red n blue digi dash trying to fit it! BOLLOCKS!!

does your alarm work? sounds like you've cut its live supply which is probably feeding most things

Well i removed the leccy window loom ages ago and today i took the loom out for the central locking, including the countrol unit, the one mounted on the back of the shelf in the passenger footwell! Cut it all back and removed it from the alarm too! This includes the wiring that runs across the middle of the car beneath the seats, behind handbrake etc! Unless ive made a mistake with a wire then i cant think what it is!

Could this be caused by a faulty ignition barrel? We just did a continuity check on the ignition and got no response from all of the terminals, on all of the key positions! I dunno if this could be the big problem, cos the alarm still doesnt work!

Any idea??

so it must be ur ignition live wire?? as the headlights and hazards work all the time with the key.

have u tried ur alarm in valet mode?
