Flushing cooling system?

I'm not too familiar with what hose to take of etc....

Can someone give me some guidance as where to start as I've never done this before?

doesn't matter as long as you go with the flow of the water system, take of the rad pipe near the thermostat and flush it through the rad but remove pipe at other side so all the crap runs straight out, remove heater matrix pipe on the right hand side and flush it through the matrix and still leaving the rad pipes off.

you'll need to remove the stat to do it properly and on a 1990> engine that means timing belt off

Ok cheers guys, also one more thing, what would be the best stuff to clean all the crap out when flushing?

Not sure theres such a thing as rad flush but i could be wrong, just use a hose mate.
