I'll do it if you can find me a pic of GSi alloys at the angle needed to put them on your car!

hows about this

http://mysite.wanadoo-members.co.uk/j2_files/temp.jpg

The wheels are a bit grainy as i couldn't find any GSi ones the right size!

Also cleared the front indicators...

Thanks Jules - I tried that Tutorial quickly and tried all different things on it just as a test.

***NOTE*** Neons will not go on my car! :) and a few other things wont.

This was only a rough try, but gave me some ideas like the mirror colors / tints / sideskirts/ alloys / mesh.

Errmmmmmmmm wtf!?!?

Next time rather than using the standard 'Lasso' tool - right click the 'Lasso' icon and select the 'Polygonal' tool option. Then rather than having to do your selected area in one hit you can do it in little stages to get it the shape you want (You can also press Shift / Alt to add or remove to the selection afterwards).

Just play about with it and you'll get the hang of it.

Can't speak for Photoshop as I've never used it, but in PSP you can set the "feather" of a selection - this smooths the edges off your selected area and helps it to look more natural when you edit the selected region

leave the grill standard dont mesh it

marsh_man
26-04-05, 12:30 AM
ok anyone elses opinion on the grill aswell?

i just wanted to see what it looked like ... but as you think it looks better with no mesh i will probably just leave it how it is.

Jack
26-04-05, 01:16 AM
I think the gruille would lok better in black, possibly minus the GTE badge. As the sideys and splitter are (or will be lol) black it would all go together.

loggyboy
26-04-05, 01:21 PM
GTE rims.. in dont think so :o
body colour and MOs :D
That car SHOULD look like this :P

Hmm.... I usually like Mo's, but I'm a bit 50/50 as to whether I prefer them or the "standard" look...

Would also look nice with some SR window frames IMO... which i just happen to have for sale

marsh_man
26-04-05, 02:33 PM
razor, can you put the SR window frames on the car in photoshop and if i like the look, you can give me a price ?

erm, i will also try change the grill color to match the car!

i like the white wheels but im like razor - 50/50 so im not sure!

its going to be a defenet for the clear indicators ;)

Jack
26-04-05, 02:43 PM
razor, can you put the SR window frames on the car in photoshop and if i like the look, you can give me a price ?I'll have a go when I get home, but can't promise it'll look any good with my photoshop skills (or lack of them lol)... originally I was going to do this but decided not to for some reason.... I think they're suit the GTE-wheeled look more than the Mo-wheeled look.

i like the white wheels but im like razor - 50/50 so im not sure!
GTE style wheels would be cheaper, you can pick them up for about ?50-100. But Mo's are nice too, and you can buy them new in 15" on et49 for about ?400-500, which isn't bad for a set of new alloys...

marsh_man
26-04-05, 02:49 PM
ok thanks m8.

ive already been offered some GSI alloys.

a set of 4 for ?20. jus need tyres on 2 of them.

so thats that sorted :)

loggyboy
26-04-05, 05:02 PM
Ok the 1st one had colour coded mirrors and handles, tinted windows, debadged grill, smooth bumper, white indicators and repeaters and the MOs plus lowered.

now we have the grey window strips.
http://members.lycos.co.uk/loggyboy/shops/novablue3.jpg

and Full SR look

need grey mirrors in the pic above imo

loggyboy
26-04-05, 05:20 PM
but srs had B/C mirrors.. plus it keeps the top colour/bottom black theme

Jack
26-04-05, 06:03 PM
Window frames and B pillar vinyl...

marsh_man

hmmm looks ok , but im still 50/50 to whether im going to do that or not.

epo
26-04-05, 06:41 PM

with pillar vinal i just thought it would really set it off more

burgo
26-04-05, 06:42 PM
vinal and frames do look very good imo

Hughsie II
26-04-05, 06:54 PM
I think it looks better with the black front bumper.

Spud
26-04-05, 07:03 PM
Whats different about the SR window frames?

loggyboy
26-04-05, 07:40 PM
i think he ment the vinyl that some novas (not just SRs) have on the B pillar, separating the frames

Jack
26-04-05, 07:51 PM
By window frames I mean the removable metal edges that sit round the windows, found on some special editions, SR's, GTE's, GSi's etc

As fitted to this one:

http://www.novaload.net/images/car_images/2098big.jpg

marsh_man
26-04-05, 10:18 PM
hmmm , how much you want for them?

because to be honest - i dont think it will make much of a difference!

NovaloadedAgain
27-04-05, 03:26 PM
You have the vinyl on one side of the car mate, might aswell do it to both sides & get the frames too imo.
I also really like the MO's, But I got ya the GTE rims for now.

marsh_man
27-04-05, 03:55 PM
yeah i know that.

but that vinyl is all crumbled on one side.

and i'm not sure whether to get it done again.

razor offered me - ?20 for the frames.
