hooking up water temp after fitting carbs

ok gte engine with nova sr loom.
what i think is the coolant sensor is a little bolt style thing in the new manifold do i just hook up a wire with a ring connector on it to this? and then join it to coolant wire in car

yeah and if its it, it'll work. thay usually have a flat end on them so a female spade can slide on.
