I assume this is down to the K&N filter that i have on as my calibra with same engine in used to do the same with a K&N on, has anyone used a different type of filter that stops this? the gsi airbox looks tiny and restrictive thouh.

are you sure its not over fueling? one of my mates had a xe with a fucked afm and it did that until he changes it.

Ive ran couple with ITG foam filters, they seem o/k, on mine anyway

my car had a knackered afm sensor and got a new one and also the timing done. also the throttle might need some attention.

i got them all sorted and the car runs sweet as a nut now.

will have to give them a try i just asumed it was air filter as it drove exactly like my old calibra did
