Hello all.
Bought my first car a couple of days ago for ?350.
It is a 1.0 with a GTE interior and bodykit. ( F REG )
Here is a couple of pictures. More to come soon.
What are your opinions?

Well, i need to change the wheels and alloys ( in need of some smaller vauxhall ones if anyone can help ) as they rub the wheel arch.
Looking for a radio, alarm system, central locking, etc.
Erm, starts first time every time.
But besides that what do you think ?

I think u need to clean those number plates as the police will screw you when they realise were related! :wink: Can hardly read em!

And go strip your nova to give me all your parts :)
dont look rotten which is a very good start. you'll probably find that the wheels are only rubbing because of a rong offset, so just get some with the rite offset instead of going smaller. although i think the first thing on the list is suspension

i know someone that has a set of wheels anyway. he will give them to me and then see what that does :)
as long as the offset is betweem 45-50 they will be fine

how many keys does a nova 1.0 need?
because on mine. I have one for door and one for ignition!

the boot wont lock with any of them keys :(

Did the early GTE bumpers not have the bottom section attached?
I've never seen them without it...?

i think this one looks ok i guess.
would you sell the car at all ?
by the way dont be an idiot and kit it up.. jus keep it like it is otherwise people will hate it... thats what makes me hate novas they are too boy racery type things.

Novas are the best cars. Reliable , easy to repair and after all an overall friendly community!
Erm, ive only just got it for ?350, so make the offer.
The mods im looking to do at the moment:
-Alarm
-Electric Windows
-Central Locking
-Window Tints
-Different Alloys
-CD Player and Subs
but thats it at the moment, then i will start changing body and interior :)
Mmmm sounds alright m8 the amount u paid :D...
How much u reckon all the mods will cost u and why are you getting tints?
will they be on all the windows or jus the front or sides?

with your current attitude & sig-Novas suck! Your not going the right way of people taking a liking to you! Although at the same time, I think you will be converted as there a good car to have with plenty of modifying potential.
And why are you changing the body i think it look cool as it is....
and whats wrong with the interior?... do u have any pics of interior?

Yeah change your sig please or the admins will kick you from the site as they dont like stuff like that.
Yeah the mods will cost about ?200 - ?300, but Im going to be selling my wheels / alloys soon on novaload + ebay.
But, just think about novas m8. Try ebay and you can get yourself a good deal. Post the link from ebay for the car you want and everyone will help give their opinions ;)
But, just keep your cool, be friendly and you will be ok!
Hmmm im not sure bout the body of novas tho m8.... they are really square.
So why are u changing body?
and what tints u getting?

probably just light - medium tints.
i like the square bodies. if you like round bodies you should look for an astra.
but i defently advise getting a nova. so easy to work with!
jus look around on the forum and see what some of the people have done with theirs and get yourself an idea.
if u like the body then why u gettin it changed?
what makes u like novas and how comes u think they are so easy to work with?
are you a mechanic or something?

i dont know hardly anything about cars, but my cousin (NovaLoadedAgain) is very good with Novas and watching him strip his looked interested and i got involved and it was a lot easier than i thought!
theres so much you can do to a base modelled nova like mine.
start a project off. get a picture of the car and ask people to design you a bumper or what you want. for example respray and people will volunteer to help show you what your car will look like using their photoshop skills!
no offense but ur cousin seems like a bit of a Kn0b...

like does it have holes in the seats etc.
is ur cousin a mechanic?
or is he jus one of those really sad people that as soon as they get in from work play with novas?...
u say i should look around for a nova but the thing is there are many more cars that you can use as projects so why do so many choose novas?

nah he is a great bloke its just u didnt start off very well - for eg. NOVAS SUCK!
that aint the best thing to say on the Nova forum and he is a top nova lover lol!
nah he has had a lot of experience with cars as he has grew up and had many problems in the past with cars - so trial and error!
get the NOVA HAYNES book! :)
I know you can use other project cars, but the nova's are brilliant all round cars! Vauxhall are known for reliable cars!
novas are small and a decent car! what small car wood u prefer? nova or fiesta? << thats my point!
the interior is mint - standard GTE, will get some pics soon, but for now im on lunch break!
hmmm i would prefer i a nova i guess...
but whats wrong with fiestas?

put it this way... i dont like fords at all!
a few people may agree with me that they do not last very long in terms of reliablity unless u want to spend ?k's on it!
the novas are made by vauxhall and very reliable all round car (with or without mods)
mods just make the car run and look a sh*t load better.
ok bout fords... i kind of agree...
but how can u say that mods make the car look better... i mean is that ur cousins car in his avatar and sig?

Yes it is. And the amount of people that turn their heads and reach for their camera phones while we drive past them or stuck at traffic lights! its soo funny!
He has a superb engine spec which is on his featured cars page.
Its a great car and not had any problems of which I know about / were hard to repair.
Add a thread on the forum and ask for peoples views on why u should get a nova compared to any other car.
OR just have a look about the forum.
ok m8.. i jus think that if u kit ur car up then it will look like a chavmobile..
ur car looks very decent at the moment...
does it have ay rust or anything like that?... and how comes there is red paint on the front bumper at the right :? :?

nah i know what chavved is... neons, nasty stickers, big sunstrips, etc!
and im jus gonna be respraying the sideskirts, maybe cleaning up the interior a bit. For example, in the near future - digi dash.
there is no rust. mint allover.
that red paint is where the previous owner broke a RED GTE and didnt do a very good respray of the bumpers. But once I get a good income, all this will be sorted.
cool m8... digi-dash sounds cool....
jus dont chav it up like most people do eg. ur cousin

Then a nova would be ideal. Part of their attraction is their ease of use to work on and modify, reliability and availability/cost of parts. Sure, 205s are faster and fiestas may be cheaper and more readily available - but out of the three the nova has the nicer interior, frame strength (don't crash a 205, i've seen it first hand), and reliability.
There's not much on a nova you can't unbolt and replace from another Nova, or different Vauxhall model...

Thats what I tried to say. But I do think it is silly coming on with NOVA SUCKS as his signature and email address.
But he needs a lot of persauding and a NOVA! :)
