i thought my xe nova seemed a bit quick at first and always had a funny feeling the speedo was out but had this checked when it was rolling road tuned and its around 8-10mph to high. Its a mk1 nova with the dials which have a oil pressure needle and battery strenght needle (think some just have a light instead) and its a standard xe engine with an F16 gearbox. I think it must have something to do with the speedo sender on the box but dont have a clue where that is or how it could be wrong. rev counter works fine. Whats the best way to remove the dials on a mk1 nova and should i just fit a digi dash if its not too hard?

anyhelp at all would be great

if you can find a speedo from an old astra mk1 that had the same gbox, the speedo reading should be about right, and it should fit into the dash fairly well, or look in somewhere like CCC magazine for a company called speedy cables, who offer a calibration service.
