what car have people taken the alt bracket of for a 1300 with twin dellortos? cheers
the nova sport...
but aftermarket ones supply an alt. bracket in the kit

no the sliding bracket! and has anyone had the alt fan hit the lower bracket?

no i need the other bracket as the original doesn't see to fit. Have others needed a different one?

Your meaning the slider that the bolt goes throught to adjust tension on the belt?? if so you need to get another. Then cut all of the straight part off it and weld it to your original one.
As for the belt hiting the lower bracket, mine was close on mah old engine but it never hit!!

Yeah I know what ya mean-alternator top mountong bracket, for mine I used a ford escort xr3i one & my mate used a granada one.

as stated 1st of all, i think the sports have a slide adjustment bracket for tensioning alternator - obviously to suit a T40s inlet
