Drag Racing

I?m going next sunday to drag racing i hope my car beat the other?s 1.6 :twisted:
Last drag I run with this mods:

- KS pistons +0.5
- Clutch Kit by LUK
- Ported and polish head
- Bigger inlet manifold cannals with the ports matched to the cilinder head
- 280? camshaft
- K&N induction kit
- Bosch super 4 plugs

Now i have that and plus:

- Complete exhaust system (4 branch manifold (4-1) direct pipe and backbox)
- Bigger exhaust cannals
- Costumized valve seats
- Lightened and balanced flywheel (-1,5 Kg)
- Short shift

Let?s see what?s happend i didnt drive the car yet i?m going to pick up friday.

let your tyres down slightly as you will get better traction off the line.

jack up the rear end of the car so that the weight of the car transfers to te front wheels (more traction)

practice your standing start at traffic lights as much as you can, which should give you a much better chance when you get there. when you are sitting at the start of the strip, keep your engine revving at about 4000 rpm to really get you going. get used to your biting point as well.
