Different Door Cards..?

is it possible to put other car doorcards into a nova. i wanted to put a new styled bulky one on my nove so i can add the window switchs onto the doors.

any ideas ??

Someone local to me who is a joiner/window fitter made some doorcards out of wood.

Then he fitted archtrave round them, and use some swirly fancy wood for the handles.

Looked Crap , but posh.

You can make them out of anything ? wood ? sheet of Carbon firbe e.t.c

Fibregalss would be the easiest way to make shaped ones imo.... then you could trim it in leather, cloth, flocking etc

yeh wud be doable as long as the card was slightly bigger in length and width so u can trim bits off and get the right shape, if i was gonna do it id put the nova card on the back of the new one u wanna put on, draw around it n the cut it where needed, u shud have no problems as long as the new card is flat backed like the nova ones. altho u can make life easier n just put the window switches in the original nova armrests??

the civic one has the speaker pod in the front that comes up to meet the dash.

Id avoid using another cars and "botching" it to fit - you can always tell.

best thing to do is make a set and take a copy in fibreglass. That way you can get the best elements from all door cards you like.

You can also cloth it or spray it etc...
