manta 400 mirrors

well im thinking about getting some manta 400 mirrors to put on my nova but was woundering, what do you do about base plates etc.

do you have to buy them second hand or brand new (if you can)

the genuine 400 mirrors are bolted to the door skin, like on an old mini. you'd have to put either a steel plate or fibreglass over where the nova mirrors go, as they sit on the sloped bit just below the origional mounting point.
