hi i need some advice. i have just got some cav gsi alloys but they need 4 new tyres. i am going to lower it 60mm all round on shocks and springs.
the arches are standard. been looking at tyres on mytyres.co.uk and 195/50/15's are cheaper than the 195/45's. would the 195/50's rub when lowered 60mm?
thanks,
lauri

i put 195 50's on mine, it was very low with the tyres well in the arches with calibra 15" wheels on and they didnt rub, not sure weather i was just lucky

have you got a mk1 or mk2 nova

as mk2 are slighty more forgiving on the rear due to larger production tollerances

i would have though that they would rub as mine did on 195/45's

although it will depend how wide your wheels are aswell

Toyo Proxi T1-S in 195/45-15, rather grippy too

...but wear throught a lot quicker than the R's... for the couple of quid more i'd rather have the R's

Goodyear Eagle F1s are just as good, if not better, and offer better grip in the wet.

BTW.... camskill are cheaper than mytyres
