hey ppl been offereda mint 2.0 16v nova gte. it is not registered as a 2.0, so what do i have to do and how much do you guys pay insurance for them??? also which companies are you with? thanks :lol:
straight simple answer on that is to phone around.
a couple that spring to mind are

and i'm with the priveledge
but avoid lv as they dont cover engine conversions no more

mine isnt on the log book as a 2lt but it is insured as one. I'll pay the tax im supposed to when they do something constructive with it. Also im with adrian flux

hmm, what would happen tho if you were pulled and the 50 were to look and see that it is not a 1.6? how much do you lot pay on the 2.0?

tell them its a 2lt, an its insured as one but you only just got it down so your log book is in the post
ok sounds good, are there any common problems to happen to valvers? thinking of the long run here too lol- how much do you pay for insurance phil?

i pay 1700 a year, when i was 19, an a few points
that is alot o money, i got 3 years no claims and am 21- ill have to shop about dont wana spend that much really?!
how much do therest ofyou pay?
I pay ?722 for my 2.0 16v Turbo :wink:
afaik HIC are getting a bit twitchy about young drivers in high powered cars, so even if they will insure you then don't expect it to be cheap!

just fill the log book in with the engine number and the capacity of the engine 1998cc and post it off. the tax bracket will be the same.

Your probably looking at around a grand which is what im paying,
that includes:
Me 21, Driving 1 & a half years, 3rd party fire & theft.
Was a 1.6gsi, but now a 2.0 16v with loads of mods
(Standard engine, standard Gsi kit, Suspension,exhaust etc!)

cheers you lot, got on to adrian flux to say what they had to say. however they emailed me back saying to call them to comfirm the mods that have been done to the car lol. are they really as bad as people say with the handling?

I take it your taking about the car not the way flux handel customers? :lol:
A lot of the things said about bad handling on XE novas is said by either ppl who hate big block novas or ppl who have never really driven one set up good..
As mine is 20 times better now i fitted coilovers,with a diff it will be even better still.
