Hey ppl
Im in the middle of building a c20xe nova and just want to know a few ppls 0-60s and top speeds for these animals? I was told around 145-150 top speed and 5-6 seconds 0-60 is what you get out of a standard c20xe in a nova is this about right? Post your 0-60s and to speeds im interested to know.
cheers
IF YOU DONT WANT TO GET BURNED DONT PLAY WITH FIRE
A standard one will be slower than 5-6 seconds - thats quicker than my car, and a standard XE doesn't come close to it...
Mine did 0-60 in 6 secs dead last year (With a performance meter). At that time it was around 800kg and 200bhp. However the main problem is getting the power down on to the road.
I don't like posting any kind of performance figures becuase no one ever believes you. :|
I wouldn't worry about how fast its going to be TBH just build the thing and you will find out yourself.

i got a 5.6 0-60 at trax last year, thats stripped out, lighten flywheel and a set of cams. Hoping to do better this year. Top speed will be around 140ish but no one cares about top speed
mine does 0-60 in 1st, 2nd (sometimes third lol) and tops out at 70mph, not yet had chance to test in on a private road
Chris
mine does it too.
i think your figures are probably about right.

Astra Gte 16v is 7.3 secs 0-60mph 1032kg kerb weight
Nova 16v about 850kg?
Gsi is 830kg standard.
Performance calculator calculates that a Nova 16v with 156bhp and weight of 850kg will do 0-60 in 6.05seconds.
So on a good day maybe around the six mark. Strip it and obviously it will be alot faster!
