Mk2 Seats In MK1

Just a quick one, i sold my nova a while ago (still gutted) but girlf has got one with a manky interior. I did have a gsi set hidden away to go in there but some arsehole nicked them. Now ive been offered a MK2 standard set but im sure there was a reason i didnt put the other ones in my mk 1. Are the fittings very different? Is there any way to overcome them??

they should be a straight swap.

the only problem you may encouter is if the new seats are a 60/40 split rear bench.

if they are, and you don't have a split rear bench at the mo, you'l have to weld a bracket in to mount the middle mountings.

thanks for reply, thinking aobut it, i think hers is split, its on an E plate but is SR so maybe thats the trouble i had with my gsi ones.
