Black and blue steering wheel?

I bought an after market steering wheel from the scrappies today, but its black and blue leather. Can i spray the blue bit red to match the car, if so, can i just use normal car paint?

Also, the hub boss wont come off, i've a bearing puller i'm gonna use tomorrow, or do i need the ignition key to unlock the steering locjk before i do anything?

i know you can buy steering wheel paint but tbh the area where your hands would be i would have thought it would wear off but not 100%

have you trired busting the steering lock by turning the wheel sharpish it cant be that good on an old car can it?

You can spray leather any colour. All leather is coloured by spraying it with dyes and sealing the colour in with a number of chemicals and waxes.

therefore you will need to get a spray dye and prepare the leather prior to colouring (remove all waxes and sealents). the leather will need to be sealed again once it has been dyed. buying all the stuff to do it would be a pain and may be expensive, so you may be best off re-trimming it.

It was a beautiful SRi Corsa, lowered, Gt4 bonnet vent and a had a lot of money spent on it. But it met with somithing very solid which flattened the front perfectly!!

Na, the leather's grand, just dont much fancy the blue leather bit. Thought if i could spray it handy i'd give it a shot, no harm done sure. Cheers lads.

i happen to have a gt4 vent forsale it has a little crack in it but easily fixed
but i will throw in a nova bonnet which i started to cut out

I've seen two Red Corsa'a with GT4 Bonnet vents this week, unfortunately, both wreaked ? Coincidence, or is this trying to tell us something?
