This is a question a few of u would probably know.
i would like to put astra 16v callipers on my nova when i am taking them off the astra do i need to take anything else off and do they just go strat on ?

You will want the discs as well. You want the caliper and carrier. Just undo the two bolts that holds the whole lot on.

you'll want the brackets the calipers bolt to as well

so when i get that will they just go strat on?

yes they bolt straight on, you might have to cut/bash back the dust guard on the nova though as it might catch

ok thanks. this might be a stupid question but what are those wires coming out of the calliper in that photo?

Don't worry about them. If yours have them then just cut them off. They are for the breakpad wear light.

you can connect up the pad wear light if you want but it really is a bit pointless. just a nice touch if you want to tho. the way they work is.... when the pad wears down enough the end of the wire that you can see (there are two in that plug) just simply gets connected together by the disc coming into contact with them. so you could use this as the -ve side of a light circuit. simple but a nice touch

fit the brakes first mate. it just complicates things, ill tell you how easy it is when i get rouund to trying it :wink:
