Called Adrian Flux today with my revised "circumstances", i.e. 11 points on licence. The quote for my car with a 16XE engine+other mods went upto ?871 tpft from ?680. Needless to say im pretty unhappy about this. Does anyone know of a way I can get this insurance premium down? or any other tips on insurance in general, or which companies might be better than Adrian Flux?

TIA

Try liverpool victoria based in bournemouth. I'm 18 with 3 major claims and no NCB. I was paying 1500 TPFT on a 1.2, now have 2.0i 8v and pay only ?1200 Fully Comp. It's Crazy. Sometime they like you to be fully comp so it may work out cheaper. Also on fully comp, you can push up your excess to drastically reduce the premium. If you need the number, txt me

less that ?1000 with 11 pts! thats about as cheap as I've seen newhere - I moved from edinburgh to glasgow - no mods basic 1.2 with 1 yrs no claims and me insurance jumped ?600! making it oveer ?1200! Yes ?600! increase just coz most of glasgow is classed as one postcode area! I threatened to move elsewhere and it came tumbling right down toless than what I was paying in Edinburgh - makes absolutely no sense. get this also - if u mod a 1.2 to look like a GSi with a 1.2 engine it will cost you more to insure than if u buy an actual GSi! Wheres the sense in that!
Fukin stupid :-x
