Only jobs left to do now are to give it a really good clean, change the track rod ends, sort a fuel leak, put the heater matrix cables on, install headunit and wire up the horn. Should be all done for tonight.

Have you lot not been keeping up with Chris' posts? It's got a 1.0l in to get the Vehicle registered or something along those lines. Once that's done Chris has a 2.0 XE to go in...come on lads, keep up  :P

Correct Kev, it is no longer there now as I have just given it a nice wash, gleaming now. The 1ltr is in there as the vehicle is stolen/recovered car adn was a CAT C write off. Although the only damage was the drivers door had been bent out at the top? Due to it been a CAT C it needs to have a VIC to make sure it isnt a 'ringer' and to make sure the repairs that have been carried out are to a satisfactory standard. During the check they will examine the engine number, VIN plate and chassis number to those held on the DVLA records, hence me having the original engine in. There will be a 20XE in there which I have just ordered a cambelt kit for and that should be getting dropped in on sat morning along with the suspension and brakes being changed.

Cheers boys and girls. Yep the test is tomoz in the morning at 1030. She should sail through, then its time to rip it all apart again. The bumper is a GSi one with a Renault Megane splitter on the bottom. I dont really like splitters but the bumper had a bit of damage at the bottom so it went on until I found another bumper but I like it now, so it looks like it is here to stay until it argues with a gravel trap. Cheers for the advice earlier Karl, all sorted now, pretty cheap too  I will put some pics up in daylight when I get some.
