Working out the Gremlins

Right, ported head, 270deg Cam, new lifters and followers, fully rebuilt. Had a 1600 Cav jets on the car, wouldn't idle. Have an XR3 weber 32/34, will this fit on, if not what have i to do to make it fit. If this doesn't work, what other carbs can i run it on and twin 40s are a no go. Thanks mates

waht engine is it?

u cant just stick a random carb on it from any old car

either fit the 32/34 and get it jetted for the engine or fit the 2e3 and get that jetted for the engine

u need a rolling road and gas analyser, u cant do it by guesswork

Its a 1400spi engine. Its got a 1600 jets in the carb (think its a 1400 carb) but she sounds like she's struggling to get fuel. I know the 32/34 fits but i think that something's wrong with the XR carb that means it wont work right. Its a 1200 car, would it be the brain?
