What shall I use....

What shall I use to clean my brake calipers up before painting? I have some Gunk would that do the trick, or would it damage the seals? Or shall I just use a bit of elbow grease and a wire brush? Any help is greatly appreciated 8)

i usually just stick a wire brush attachment on my drill and use that.
gets rid of the crap a treat.

I just used a wire brush and warm water, it gets rid of most of the shit, besides, the pain you will be using doesnt really show every mark as it is so thick... dont worry about it too much

i found the hamerite paint i used stuck like shit lol
